Surrounded by mountains, the Elgin district sits in the Western Cape of South Africa. The year-round cool climate is perfect for producing grapes with rich, subtle flavours. Adamant that the Elgin region boasts credentials to produce world-class wines, Richard Kershaw MW (South Africa’s only winemaking master of wine), went on a mission to bolster these regional credentials by producing his Clonal Selection Elgin Range of wines. Focussing on apposite noble grapes and producing a limited number of cases, the Kershaw Elgin Chardonnay, Syrah and Pinot Noir are elegant wines that reflect a sense of place.
